Kokernag 17 may Raja Rasif… MLA Kokernag Abdul Rahim Rather has refuted the allegations of the Doctors Association of Kashmir mentioning that the BMO Larnoo has been manhandled or assaulted in his presence at Kokernag on 15th May. He has said that he has come to know about the alleged incident only on the next day morning when the doctors and the paramedics of SDH Kokernag resorted to strike. He said that the BMO concerned, as a matter of fact, remained absent from an important meeting which was being held regarding the preparation of administrative arrangements for the coming holy month of Ramadan which deserved a notice and could have been dealt reasonably as per the rules. He has said that he believed in respecting each and every individual and opposed any possible incident of the sort as has been alleged in this case. He has termed the press release of the DAK as baseless and misleading to this extent that an assault or manhandling has happened in his presence. He said that had such a situation arisen in his presence, as alleged by the DAK, he wouldn’t have allowed for any chance of such an occasion to happen. He has advised the office bearers of the Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) to verify the facts first and then only go to the media or make a posting on the social media.
